When making supper and you decide to make a salad only to realize that you are out of salad dressing, we all have been there so you are not alone.  Make the most of what you do have and substitute; your family may never notice the difference.

Salad dressing is easy to make and may not be as expensive as regular store bought salad dressing.  I usually always make my own and my friends and family all just love its taste.  You could make your own salad dressing if you run out or just for a zesty change.

First make your salad by chopping the lettuce, adding the tomatoes and the other favorite vegetables that you and your family love in your salad.  Make the salad dressing then add the salad dressing to the lettuce and vegetables before setting it at your table.  Making the salad dressing is quite easy and will only call for two ingredients, which includes vinegar and olive oil.  Add the desired amount of vinegar to the olive oil for a zesty salad.

For special occasions or just for something different make a different dressing that will have your friends talking and wanting the secret recipe.  The truth is there is no secret recipe to give out; the only things that you need to remember are two ingredients.  With just two easy ingredients you could be enjoy a great wine vinegar dressing.  Simply mix two tablespoons of vinegar with one teaspoon of dry red wine, shake these two ingredients together in a dressing shaker, add to your lettuce salad and vegetables then serve to your family.

Both of these recipes come in handy once your garden favorites come into season.  When the garden is ready for picking you will be eating salad at every lunch and dinner meal so why not change the taste a little by adding a different salad dressing to create a different taste.  By adding different dressings you will keep your family more interested in the fresh vegetables, which are a healthy part of your meal.

These dressing can be added to your salad directly or you can use it as a dip in which you can dip fresh vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, radishes, cucumbers, cauliflower and the list goes on.
